Bulk carrier PAOLO TOPIC had to interrupt her voyage from Ashdod to Diliskelesi Turkey, in the evening Sep 19, west of Cyprus. The ship was ordered by Turkish Maritime Authorities to rescue some 300 illegal migrants on board of a boat, as nearest ship to this boat. PAOLO TOPIC had to sail to Turkish waters. She reached Antalya anchorage in the evening Sep 20, was still at anchor as of 1520 UTC Sep 20, hopefully having already completed disembarkation.
