Iran Revolutionary Guards arresting Chinese fishing poachers

Mar 6: The Iranian Revolutionary Guard's Naval Command issued official statement on Chinese fishing vessels of violating terms of 2011 fisheries agreement between Iran and China, and poaching in waters of Southern Iran, including waters of Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman. Several Chinese fishing vessels reported to be detained, Iran is considering foreign vessels fishing ban in Iranian waters. Along with fishing vessels, reefer was detained, with holds full of frozen fish, collected allegedly, from Chinese fishing vessels. In Iranian news, reefer wasn’t identified, its’ name and other ID marks smudged. MB, with the help of its’ readers, managed to identify the ship as reefer KOOSHA 3. Latest AIS records dated Feb 27, ship anchored at Bandar Abbas.
