Two ferries aground, passengers safe, South East Asia

Philippines: Ferry MILAGROSA J TRES with 107 passengers on board ran aground off Bisucay Island in Cuyo, Palawan on Mar 1, the Philippine Coast Guard said. MILAGROSA J TRES was en route to Iloilo from Port of Cuyo. All passengers were safely brought back to Cuyo, ferry reportedly, is still aground.

SINGAPORE: Ferry WAVEMASTER 5 ran aground at Karang Galang reef, off the eastern coast of Batam, Indonesia, while en route from Tanjung Pinang, Indonesia to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, Singapore, in the afternoon Mar 2. Ferry operator, Majestic Ferry, sent another ferry, WAVEMASTER 6, to transfer all the passengers to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. All passengers are safe, ferry is in stable condition, said Maritime Authority Singapore in a stetement.
