Syrian freighter intercepted, seized, suspect in drugs or arms illegal trade

Cargo ship was intercepted by Greek Coast Guard and taken to Ierapetra, southeast Crete, on suspicion of carrying illegal cargo or cargoes, drugs and/or arms, in 18 containers. The ship was intercepted on Dec 6 or earlier, name wasn’t revealed, it was said only, that the ship is Syria-flagged with 11 crew, including 10 Syrians and 1 Indian. Search of ship and containers cargo was carried out during Dec 7, results unknown. Rumors are the ship in question is general cargo ship NOKA.
