Barge with 3300 tons of grain sank at Kerch Strait entrance, Azov sea

Tug OTA 947 was pushing barge VD 3751 loaded with 3,300 tons of grain from Rostov-on-Don port to Kavkaz port, Kerch Strait, Russia, at around 0300 Moscow time Nov 22 barge sank at 10 meters depth, at Kerch Strait entrance in Azov sea near Borzovka Point, Crimean Peninsula. No details given as to the cause of accident. Owner said he doesn’t plan to salvage barge, because it’s too costly. Barge was unmanned. On a photo OTA 947 pushing barge VD 3751, in better days.
