Cargo ship sank in Okhotsk sea, 3 missing

EPIRB of general cargo ship ANATOLIY KRASHENINNIKOV was activated at 0810 Moscow time Nov 9 in Kambalnyy Bay, southwest Kamchatka, Okhost sea, north of First Kuril Strait. The ship sank, 10 crew were rescued by nearby fish factory, 3 went missing. The ship was en route from Petropavlovsk to Palana village, Kamchatka, with merchandise goods. Cause of disaster yet unknown.
On a photo ANATOLIY KRASHENINNIKOV in work – it’s not grounding, it’s a practice of supplying cargoes to villages located along Kamchatka western coast – straight line with no bays and no piers to dock. The ship moves as far inshore as possible and waits for low tide. After completing cargo operation, with high tide, ship sails away.
