Two Turkish freighters collided in Istanbul

General cargo ship TK ROTTERDAM allided with bulk carrier BOSPHORUS KING in the morning Oct 9 on Istanbul outer anchorage, Yenikapi, Marmara sea, understood both ships were under way. TK ROTTERDAM is en route from Haifa to Kavkaz Russia, BOSPHORUS KING is en route from Ukraine to Spain. Both ships reportedly sustained hull damages above waterline, understood to be slight. Both ships were ordered to anchor for inspection. BOSPHORUS KING as of 1500 UTC was already under way continuing her voyage, TK ROTTERDAM was still at anchor.
