Tanker loaded with diesel oil aground, Russian Inner Waterways

Product tanker VOLGONEFT-165 with 4639 tons of diesel fuel on board ran aground in river Volga in Astrakhan Region area at around 1200 Moscow time Aug 18, while proceeding upstream en route from Turkmenbashi Turkmenistan, Caspian sea, to Georgia, Black sea, via Rostov-on-Don. No damages, no leak reported. Tug is to be contracted for refloating.
