Cargo ship bound for France ran aground in White sea

General cargo ship MEKHANIK KOTTSOV with 3903 cubic meters of timber on board, bound for Saint-Malo, France, ran aground at 0006 Moscow time Aug 16 at Onega port entrance, northwest Russia, White sea, while leaving port with pilot on board. Tug was sent to assist, no information on further development, no information on damages. The ship strayed off fairway after engine failure.
