Very large container ship XIN SHANGHAI reportedly contacted crane at Fairview Container Terminal, Port of Prince Rupert, on Apr 30, understood during mooring operation. Ship’s departure was delayed, Port’s officials said, that “there was something potentially damaged on the ship at Fairview Container Terminal”, most probably communications and navigational equipment installed on upper bridge. “The only information the port had at 4 p.m. May 1, Schumacher said, is that the crew is aboard the vessel above the bridge where their equipment is” – said The Northern View thenorthernview.com.
