Greek bulk carrier detained in Paradip by court

Bulk carrier THEOMETOR was detained at Paradip port, India, after offloading cargo of 51,350 tons of rock phosphate, on Apr 19, after a court warrant. According to The Indian Express News Agency, Greece-based ship’s manager Latona Maritime has financial dispute with, understood, charterer, Singaporean Valency International Trading Pvt Ltd (VIT), and latter went to court, seeking for ship’s arrest. Court warranted detention and summoned manager to court. Paradip Port Authority meanwhile, asked court to allow the ship to move to other location, to free the berth for other ships.
