Disabled general cargo ship under tow, North Atlantic Mar 18 Update

Mar 18 Update: The ship suffered steering failure, according to Halifax Shipping News.ca. ATLANTIC LARCH was replaced on Mar 16 by CCGS Sir Wilfred Grenfell and CCGS Louis S. St-Laurent, tug was contracted by owner. On March 17 she reached Port Hawkesbury, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, and was brought to anchor. Photo by CCGS.

General cargo ship NORDIKA DESGAGNES was taken on tow by tug ATLANTIC LARCH (IMO 9193745) in the afternoon Mar 12, to be towed back to Canada, port unknown.
Alert:
Mar 11: NORDIKA DESGAGNES, IMO 9508316, dwt 16,967, North Atlantic east of Halifax – NUC since Mar 10, en route from Canada to Spain, ETA Mar 14.
