Panamax grounding riddle
Mar 16: Reportedly, Guangzhou Salvage was contracted to refloat bulk carrier. According to Chinese source, bulk carrier is still aground, salvage still going on. According to some AIS sources, bulk carrier is docked in Bahrain since Mar 14, arriving there from Nantong, which she left on Mar 4. Bulk carrier can’t travel some 7000 nm in 10 days, unless she was converted into flying bulk carrier. Let’s hope “maritime security experts” wouldn’t find hackers trace in this riddle.
Feb 28: Bulk carrier FLOURISHEVER ran aground in South China sea off Shantou in position 23 20N ; 117 22E, at around 0600 UTC Feb 27, while en route from Nantong to central or northern China port. SAR ship at her side. No other information available at the moment.
