Coaster beached in Taiwan Strait Update broke in two, total loss

Jan 26: Taiwanese coaster JIAMING LUN broke in two on Jan 26 or 25, after being battered by heavy swell. All fuel was siphoned earlier, so there’s no danger of pollution. The ship considered to be total loss, wreck removal will be carried out. There’s hope that the cargo, partially or all of it, will be recovered prior to wreck removal. Photos

Coaster beached in Taiwan Strait
Taiwanese coastal freighter under the name spelled as JIAMING LUN of 588 GT, was beached in the morning Jan 11 after she lost power, at Dongjili, Penghu Archipelago, Taiwan, Taiwan Strait. 8 crew were rescued, freighter experiencing water ingress in engine room. To prevent oil leak, freighter was fenced by booms. On a photo beached JIAMING LUN.
