New York City Ferry aground, breached, passengers evacuated

The New York City Ferry ZELINSKY ran onto sandbar in the evening Nov 27 in Lower Manhattan soon after she left Pier 11, at 1715 LT, with 123 passengers on board, propellers were damaged and hull breached, ferry started taking on water. Passengers were taken to another boat, ZELINSKY was refloated with the help of the tug, water ingress being under control. Photo of troubled ZELINSKY from New York Post.
