Oil rig fire Update

UPDATE: Fire erupted on Enchilada platform at Garden Banks 129. Two workers were injured and taken to Galveston by helicopter, 46 workers went into life boat, were picked up by offshore tug C-LIBERTY (IMO 9320415), and delivered to nearby “Salsa” platform. Fire said to be under control, reduced to a small flame from a pipeline on the platform.

Oil rig reported on fire since 0700 UTC Nov 8 in Gulf of Mexico in position 27 52N 091 59W, 195 nm southeast of Galveston. 47 personnel went into life rafts. A number of offshore tugs spotted in the area, among them TERREL TIDE (IMO 9418523), RUBY RIVER (IMO 7827067). No other information available at the moment.
