German cargo ship troubled in Scheldt estuary, Netherlands
Multipurpose cargo ship AFRICAN WIND lost propulsion, due to engine or mechanical failure, at around 1900 UTC Oct 30 off Vissingen, Netherlands, while under way to Antwerp. Tugs were sent to assist troubled freighter and avoid grounding or collision. In about an hour crew managed to fix the problem, AFRICAN WIND resumed sailing.
