Freighter troubled twice, Kiel Canal transit interrupted
General cargo vessel WILSON TYNE collided with the wall of southern lock in Brunsbuettel, while entering Kiel Canal on Oct 27. Both wall and vessel suffered some damages, said to be slight. Vessel resumed transit in the afternoon Oct 27, to encounter another problem in the evening. Character of problem unknown, vessel stopped at Schulp Rendsburg for some 3 hours, resumed sailing at a reduced speed, and late at night was docked at Rendsburg. As of 1500 UTC Oct 28, vessel was still berthed at Rendsburg. WILSON TYNE is en route to Ust Luga, Russia.
