Fire in cargo ship hold, Tarragona Update

Sep 12 Update: According to Salvamento Maritimo, fire took place in a boiler room, engine room. Extent of damages and present condition of the vessel are yet unknown.

General cargo ship BAHIA DE ALCUDIA suffered fire in the afternoon Sep 11 at Tarragona port, Spain, while prepairing to load a cargo of coal. According to local news, fire erupted in empty cargo hold, and was extinguished in some two hours, with deployment of fire engines and two SAR ships. extent of damages unknown, no injures reported.
