Bulk carrier BEAUFORT grounding, South Africa

Bulk carrier BEAUFORT ran aground in Richards Bay, South Africa, on Aug 28. Vessel unmoored from coal terminal after completing cargo load and ran aground on a sandbank in the harbor near the entrance, says Africa Ports&Ships website. Luckily, it happened during rising tide, and shortly after grounding, bulk carrier was refloated with the help of three tugs. Survey found no damages, vessel was allowed to resumed voyage, from Richards Bay to India. On a photo from Zululand Observer BEAUFORT aground.
