Container ship MAERSK KOKURA fire, Europahaven

KNRM rescue station at Hoek van Holland and emergency services received fire alert at around 1300 LT July 22. Reportedly, smoke billowing from berthed at Europahaven container ship MAERSK KOKURA, in superstructure area. It was soon found out, that there was actually, no fire, just a lot of smoke from smoldering greasy rags, placed too close to engine hot parts. Source of smoke was quickly dosed, no injures, no damages reported. MAERSK KOKURA left Europahaven later that day, bound for Bremerhaven.
