LAURA MAERSK disabled after fire, taken on tow, Bering sea - correction

Correction: According to inside information, there was no fire, just engine problem.

Container ship LAURA MAERSK suffered engine room fire and following engine failure on July 14 in Bering sea off Akutan island, Aleutian islands, and started to drift towards Akutan coat. Early in the morning July 15 vessel was taken on tow by two tugs, when she was some 7 miles off Akutan coast. LAURA MAERSK is to be towed to Dutch Harbor, at 0600 LT July 15 she was said to be on approaches to Dutch Harbor. Vessel is en route from Vancouver Canada to Busan Korea.
