Colombian officials made a statement on May 26, saying that divers of Colombian Navy and Police found a cylinder attached to underwater hull of general cargo vessel CARMEN 1 at Al Guajira port, Guajira, Colombia, Caribbean. Inside there were packages with cocaine weighing some 50 kilos. Police believes cocaine belonged to a criminal group Los Pachenca. Vessel was about to set sail for Colon, Panama. When did it happen exactly, not clear – according to AIS, vessel is located in Colon for quite some time, weeks at least. Maybe AIS was tampered with, because AIS records are incomplete and broken.
