Ferry PINAR DEL RIO collided with pier, Malaga
Ferry PINAR DEL RIO with 143 passengers and 7 stowaways on board collided with pier while docking at Malaga, Spain, at around 1700 LT May 1, on arrival from Melilla, Spain, North Africa. Ferry suffered bow damages and was taken out of service. No passengers/crew injures reported. Two of seven stowaways were thrown into water by jolt, rescued. Other five were found on board later. Electric failure which disabled ship’s control said to be the cause of an accident.
