FRISIAN SPRING vs. CG station near-miss at Vysotsk port, Russia

General cargo vessel FRISIAN SPRING, according to local media, citing Coast Guard, suffered a blackout at around 1200 Moscow time Apr 10 while approaching Vysotsk port, Russia, Gulf of Finland. Vessel dropped an anchor to avoid collision with nearby Coast Guard station’s pier. According to witness report and CG statement, vessel stopped meters off pier. After fixing the problem, vessel resumed sailing to Vyborg. FRISIAN SPRING docked at Vyborg in the afternoon same day.
