Capesize MOUNT FABER intercepted with 108 kilos of cocaine attached to hull

Capesize bulk carrier MOUNT FABER was intercepted on Mar 27 in Gibraltar Strait, while en route Columbia to Turkey, Royal Gibraltar Police. Vessel was boarded by 34 officers from the Royal Gibraltar Police and Customs, it was a final stage of an International multi-agency drug trafficking operation, which has led to the seizure of 108 kilos of Cocaine with a street value of £6.5 million, reported GBC TV gbc.gi. Cocaine was packed in a tube, attached to bulker’s underwater hull. Vessel was taken to Europa Point Gibraltar, and brought to anchor. MOUNT FABER resumed sailing on Mar 29, understood crew and ship weren’t involved.
