SOS! 14 crew are desperate, need supplies and legal assistance. UPDATE

March 5, 2017 at 06:04 by Mikhail Voytenko in Maritime Security

Mar 5: NGO Humanitarian Rights at Sea got in touch with me and understood to establish contact with the crew. On Mar 5 received a letter from Good Samaritans, private persons, from Venezuela, saying that they delivered to vessel fresh water and food supplies, enough to live for a month.
Meanwhile, ITF jumped in the day after I published SOS news, as it came, all eager to help the crew. According to ITF, Ukrainian inspector was contacted by crew relatives, and indignant ITF London headquarters are planning to contact Panama Maritime Authorities, to demand from them the fulfillment of their liabilities in accordance with MLC amendments effective Jan 2017. Now, that’s what I call a real help, not your petty water and food supply, but a plan to contact and demand. Well, glad to know, that ITF is closely monitoring FleetMon news. Will keep in mind.
