Sweden: STERNO intentionally grounded to avoid sinking on fairway?

General cargo vessel STERNO reported sinking after running aground at Lilla Edet, Gota river, north of Gothenburg, Sweden, early in the morning Feb 24. Vessel said to be en route to Gothenburg with cargo of grain. Salvage under way, vessel meanwhile, said to hamper traffic at Lilla Edet locks area. It si not clear though, what happened. Judging from photos, vessel looks like she capsized and is resting on bottom, or pier, portside, apparently off fairway. Maybe vessel’s hull was breached after contacting bottom, with massive water ingress, and Master decided to take her to shore, in order to avoid sinking on fairway?
