Fast ferry BRAQUIEL collided with a barge in waters of Macatan Channel, Cebu, in the evening Feb 18. Coast Guard assisted in evacuating 90 passengers and 11 crew to a sister-ship ferry ST. JHUDIEL (IMO 9135717). 45 passengers suffered minor injures in the collision, 4 said to suffer serious injures. No information on condition and status of BRAQUIEL, but judging from events and rescue of all people aboard, she assumedly, was seriously damaged, probably sank.
