Cruise ship SEABOURN ENCORE allided with freighter, NZ

Cruise ship SEABOURN ENCORE broke off her moorings under strong wind in the morning Feb 12 in Timaru, South Island, NZ, contacted berthed cement carrier MILBURN CARRIER II, and according to local reports, became stuck between two wharfs. Liner was taken back to berth by tugs. Reportedly both vessels sustain damages, cement carrier suffering hull split in ballast tanks area. Understood liner suffered slight damages, as she resumed cruise later that day. As of 1200 UTC Feb 12, she was under way en route to Akaroa, NZ, while MILBURN CARRIER II was still in port.
