No Royal Navy submarines, entire fleet of attack in servicing

The whole of English attack submarine fleet is out of service.

The Royal Navy, on paper the most powerful Navy of NATO after that of the United States, under maintenance or repair six attack submarines.

The entire attack in Trafalgar class nuclear-powered submarine HMS Triumph formed, HMS Torbay, HMS Talent and HMS Trenchant, is being repaired and now well beyond the operating limit being entered service in the '80s.

The attack submarines of the Astute class, HMS Artful and HMS Ambush are under maintenance.

Last summer, the HMS Ambush suffered serious damage to the outer hull after it collided with a ship off the Strait of Gibraltar.

No damage to the nuclear power plant. The crew unharmed.

The only attack submarine HMS Astute in business is currently undergoing sea trials and not armed.
