Exploded gas cylinder killed one crew on EMERALD PRINCESS, cruise interrupted

45-kg gas cylinder exploded during technical work on the hydraulic launching system on a tender vessel on board of cruise liner EMERALD PRINCESS, in the afternoon Feb 8, when vessel was docked at Port Chalmers, New Zealand. Cylinder flew through air, killed one crew and landed on berth. vessel was scheduled to leave Port Chalmers at 1600 AU time on Feb 8, but was detained for investigation. As of 1500 UTC Feb 9, vessel was still at Dunedin, Port Chalmers.
