MANHATTAN BRIDGE engine room explosion, 1 crew died

An explosion occurred in engine room of a container ship MANHATTAN BRIDGE at night Jan 19, when vessel was docking at Trinity Terminal, Felixstowe port, killing one crew and injuring another. Felixstowe Docker reported possible engine crankcase explosion, media mentioned stem built up in boiler room. Investigation under way, cargo operations said to be suspended until completing investigation.
