Tanker ARCA 1 grounding, Nova Scotia: refloated Jan 16 UPDATE

Jan 16 JPDATE: Tanker was refloated on Jan 15 with high tide, after pumping from vessel 300 tons of ballast water. There was no leak, hull wasn’t breached, 9 tons of fuel are secure. Tanker was taken to Sydney port and docked in the afternoon Jan 15. Present owner, Petroil Marine Co., which bought tanker and was relocating her to Mexico, is to cover salvage cost. Salvage lasted for about a week, more than 100 people, several government agencies, harbour authorities and salvage company McKeil Marine were deployed.
