Ferry MIRTIDIOTISSA disabled, under tow, Greece

Ferry MIRTIDIOTISSA was disabled after mechanical failure in the afternoon Jan 13 while en route from Agios Konstantinos, Phthiotida, to Skiathos island, Aegean Sea, in a strait between northern Euboea island and mainland. Vessel with 21 passengers and several vehicles was taken on tow by tug CHRISTOS XVII, to be towed to port. As of 1630 UTC Jan 13, caravan was sailing in the strait at some 4 knots speed, port of destination unknown.
