Tanker ARCA 1 grounding, Nova Scotia

Bunker tanker ARCA 1 issued distress signal early in the morning LT Jan 8, reporting engine failure in stormy weather, and drift towards coast north of Sydney, Nova Scotia, Gulf of St. Lawrence, Canada. At around 1000 LT vessel drifted aground. Six crew were evacuated by Canadian CG and taken to Sydney. According to reports, there are about 15 tons of fuel on board. As of 0200 UTC Jan 9, condition and status of tanker unknown. On photos grounded ARCA 1.
