Nov 30: Bulk carrier PANORMITIS.AV understood to have only 5 crew left on board, of Romanian nationality. According to authorities statement, they may be transferred to Romanian Embassy for further expatriation. Situation with vessel, loaded with steel from Iran, is unclear.

Bulk carrier PANORMITIS.AV is anchored on Koh Si Chang anchorage, Laem Chabang, Thailand, since July 21. Sixteen Filipino crew asked for help. Crew wasn’t paid for quite some time, all supplies ran out, local non-profit humanitarian organization is providing crew with minimum supplies of rice, canned and fresh food. Port authorities and Immigration officials interfere and are trying to find solution, alerting Philippines Embassy. Understood crew’s visas are expiring in week’s time, so either vessel leaves Thai waters, or crew have to be repatriated. What happened to owner and why vessel is stranded without supplies, with wage debts and most probably, other debts as well, is unclear.
