Reefer SARONIC BREEZE hijacked by pirates: UPDATE

Nov 30 UPDATE: Pirates left vessel on Nov 29, taking with them 3 hostages. 20 crew includes 18 Russians and 2 Ukrainians. Meanwhile, pirates hijacked another vessel on Nov 29, details unknown.

Reefer SARONIC BREEZE reported attacked and hijacked by pirates in position 05 04N 002 37E, some 70 nm off Cotonou, Benin, Gulf of Guinea, on Nov 27. Vessel activated SSAS and after that, contact was lost. At the time of the attack vessel was under way, after leaving Cotonou anchorage, where she arrived on Nov 24. No other details available. According to latest available information, on Nov 28 vessel was drifting near attack site.
