ISLAND CHIEF fixed engine problem, NZ

Container ship ISLAND CHIEF suffered engine trouble early in the morning Nov 18 and had to turn to nearest shelter, Poverty Bay, Gisborne, North Island, NZ, while en route from Tauranga to Napier. According to local media, vessel was brought to anchor at around 1700 LT and left the bay after fixing the problem, early in the morning Nov 19, according to AIS. Vessel safely reached Napier later that day.
