Greek freighter collided with French trawler in UK waters
General cargo vessel GEPRGIOS ALEXIOS collided with French fishing vessel ANTAEUS in the morning Nov 13 in Saint-Georges Canal, between UK and Ireland. Fishing vessel was damaged, but managed to reach French port Douamenez under own power, arriving there at night the same day. GEPRGIOS ALEXIOS resumed voyage, vessel is en route from Drogheda Ireland to Antwerp. Collision took place in the UK responsibility zone, both UK and France authorities launched an investigation. ANTAEUS five crew are safe, according to their report vessel was close to capsizing under the impact of collision.
