CPO KOREA piracy attack details

In the morning Oct 22 CPO KOREA watch in position 04 28N 053 22E spotted a suspicious boat heading towards tanker at high speed. Tanker was en route from UAE to Durban SAR with cargo of oil products. At 0600 Master switched to manual steering, preparing for anti-pirates maneuvering. At 0610 British security team fired warning shots, SSAS was activated. At 0612 boat closed in at a cable’s distance, security team and pirates exchanged fir, all crew except watch proceeded to citadel. At 0620 boat turned away, Master reported thwarted attack to UKMTO and Company’s offices. No injures to crew and security team, no damages.
