HAGLAND BOSS under tow after grounding, Skagerak
General cargo vessel HAGLAND BOSS ran aground early in the morning Nov 8 off Langoya island, south of Oslo, Holmestrandsfjorden, understood after mechanical failure. Vessel was refloated shortly after grounding, and brought to anchor in Langoya area. Reportedly, rudder and propeller were damaged, vessel understood to be taken on tow by tug BOA SUND (IMO 7500798), to be towed to Frederikshavn. Caravan is under way to Frederikshavn, towage speed seems to be too high, around 8 knots, maybe because of strong favorable wind.
