Ferry on fire, southern Norway
Fire erupted on board of a ferry STRAND, docked at Rubberstadneset, Bomlo island, southern Norway, at around 0900 LT Oct 29. Some 430 in ferry terminal area were evacuated, due to thick smoke and uncontrolled fire. Veavy fuel and diesel fuel on board believed to catch fire, firefighters managed to take fire under control by 1500 LT. One man is believed to stay on board after fire erupted, probably drunk.
