Cargo vessel HONG XING 88 sunk by typhoon, China

Cargo vessel HONG XING 88, loaded with sand, was caught in typhoon Haima off Wenzhou, Zhejiang province, East China Sea, on Oct 20, vessel dropped anchor in position 27 34N 120 40E. At around 2100 LT vessel reported water ingress, sinking. 7 crew were rescued by Coast Guard Rescue boats, vessel sank, with part of superstructure remaining above water.
