Bulk carrier MAESTRO DIAMOND aground, Baltic sea: UPDATE

Oct 10 UPDATE: On Saturday, the local weather conditions had prevented an early rescue attempt of the Maestro Diamond. Given the wind conditions and the sometimes very stormy sea there was no prospect to safely pull the ship from the reef. Now however the weather has improved. Therefore a first attempt to free the stuck cargo ship should be undertaken on Monday evening from 21:00 respectively in the night of Tuesday until 3 o’clock. This time corridor offers water levels that are high enough for a successful towing attempt.
