Container ship HANJIN NEW YORK collided container ship MSC CLAUDIA

Container ship HANJIN NEW YORK reportedly dragged an anchor and drifted into container ship MSC CLAUDIA in the afternoon Sep 30 on Singapore anchorage. HANJIN NEW YORK allided with bow of MSC CLAUDIA, 10 40-foot empty containers from HANJIN NEW YORK fell onto MSC CLAUDIA bow, one 40-foot container fell into the sea. There was a strong local current at the time of an accident, dragging anchor and drifting seems to be caused by lack of proper watch on board of HANJIN NEW YORK. Both vessels, as of Oct 5, remain in Singapore.
