Bulk carrier INFINITY drifted off Alang and grounded

Bulk carrier INFINITY drifted aground on Valsad district coast, south of Alang, India, on Sep 19, after her anchor dragged. Vessel was sold for scrap last year, and anchored off Alang demolition sites, waiting for her slot. 10 Indian maintenance and watch crew remain on board. Vessel’s engine is inoperable, general condition of hull very poor. No leak reported, understood all fuel and oil were offloaded long time ago.
