LPG tanker and bulk carrier collided in Rio de la Plata

Bulk carrier RICH FUTURE collided with LPG tanker CHARLTON at around noon Sep 15 on Punta Indio Channel, Rio de la Plata, Argentina – Uruguay. It is not clear whether CHARLTON was under way, or at anchor, at the time of collision. Bulk carrier, which was en route to San Lorenzo, Argentina, resumed sailing after collision, and anchored on San Lorenzo anchorage, river Parana, in the afternoon Sep 16. As of 0400 UTC Sep 17, CHARLTON was still at anchor on Punta Indio Channel, tanker said to suffer some damages, one crew was slightly injured.
