Ballistic-missile submarine USS Louisiana collided with offshore supply ship

Offshore support vessel and a ballistic-missile submarine USS Louisiana collided in Strait of Juan de Fuca, Washington State, in the evening Aug 18. Offshore support vessel sailed under own power to Port Angeles, submarine returned to Naval Base Kitsap. Offshore vessel isn’t yet identified, but according to available information, it’s most probably, offshore tug supply vessel EAGLEVIEW. According to AIS track, collision took place at around 1800-1900 PST. No casualties or injures reported. Extent of damages if any, unknown. On file photos USS Louisiana, and PSV EAGLEVIEW.
