Product tanker BOW SINGAPORE aground in Port Phillip Bay

Product tanker BOW SINGAPORE ran aground in Port Phillip Bay, Australia, near Rosebud, stranding off fairway, on Aug 19. Inbound tanker was heading for Geelong, en route from Hobart. No reports on damages or spill. Vessel is loaded with sulphuric acid, but officials said there’s no pollution risk, as tanker grounded on a sandbank, and is to be refloated with high tide. According to some sources, tanker suffered engine failure before grounding.
